The ACOMS Elaine A. Stuebner Scholarship is awarded through an essay competition. Each year ACOMS awards one woman board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon a scholarship to attend a continuing education event organized by ACOMS to advance their knowledge and skills.
The 2025 essay topic is:
If you could design your own oral surgery training program, would you modify the residency training program structure and culture to increase the percentage of women entering the program? If so, how and if not, why not?
